First of all I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope that you enjoyed the festive season.
From time to time I write to you because I strongly believe that it is important to stay in touch and to reach out to as many people as possible. Of course social media is not the only way of doing this, in fact recently I spent time visiting a number of retailers to discuss with them the proposals made by the PN – proposals which focused on the needs of a number of business people. It was a great experience to listen and to discuss the many concerns of shop owners because I can relate to this as my dad was a retailer and I grew up helping him in his business. Retailers have a number of challenges which need to be addressed as they are a big and important part of our economy.
Probably, just like many of you, I cannot believe how fast 2016 went by and I am sure that 2017 won’t go by any slower. It will surely be a year to remember, with Malta having the EU Presidency and an election looming. It will be a year of hard work but I am sure it will be an inspirational year too.
I want to take the opportunity to thank those of you who got in touch and wished me well and those of you who greeted me with open arms in their homes and shops. I am always ready to come and visit and please do feel free to get in touch if you would like to meet with me.
