This is surely the hardest blog I am writing in these 3 years of my campaign. I am devastated. I am sad. However I want to treasure this amazing experience. I feel so blessed to have been part of this general election and I cannot thank you all enough for your support.
Throughout this journey I learnt a lot and most importantly I met, spoke to and listened to my constituents. Thank you for welcoming me in your homes, thank you for sharing your troubles, your joys and your experiences. I am also so grateful to have made some new amazing friends – my colleagues at the Party. We all worked so hard but we also have great memories.
We live in a democracy and the people have decided and such decision must be respected. I conclude by thanking my family and friends – You believed in me and I know you still do.
Despite my great disappointment with the Party’s result I am really grateful for the result I personally got so far – I feel encouraged and determined to continue in this political journey that I started.
